2004 120 Santa Rita Merlot
Now normally I "swear" by Santa Rita as a highly dependable product, but in this case something was askew. For instance, the "120" on the label comes from the 120 Patriots who participated in the Battle of Rancagua to achieve Chilean independence and who spent some time taking a breather at the Santa Rita Estate. Possibily some of the blend in this bottle was left over from that visit In any case, stick to the "main line" SR and don't mix it up with these patriot boys.

Glad you found a good bottle, maybe because you were closer to the source? Could be some kind of don't send this wine across the equator thing! Thanks for the comment Aquila, I'll give it another try.
