Fondest memories of the conversation and magnificient dining leading up to the pay per view fiasco, curses on Cox, and the shattering search for "England-France"--end of the dynasty.

A wakeup call from Ken and Susan. Very robust and wrapped its arms around the roast rib. Expectant and verbose. Another wonderful antecedent to the dessert. Sharp, smoked cheddar hit us like a bolt from the blue and smacked the Shiraz on the rump--cracking good! Accompanying stories of Oregon, Charleston and DBs "I thought you said Goat!" jokes. What flavor, what anticipation of England's future triumph!

2000 Chateau Jaugue Blanc Saint Emilion Grand Cru

At A.D. and Josephines. As the Yorkshire pudding was served we moved further into the afternoon. This subtle Bordeaux crept upon us with guile and velvet. Smooth, slithery and right on target. Drifting from the kitchen into the dining room. The bridge to homemade apple pie!

2003 Santa Maria Merlot (Chile)

Luncheon at Josephine and A.D.'s. After a long dogs walk on the beach before a shining sea with unusual warmth from the winter sun followed by a philosophical alignment at Starbuck's. Led into a quite wonderful afternoon meal of roast beef rib, taters, and a parsnip or two--all the trimnings. Entre'd by the Santa Maria--a nice seg-u-way. Tart and fanciful, she stepped into the party with an Argentinian twist!.
