2005 Lindemans Bin 85 Pinot Grigio

Pel in CSB the Lindemans floated us over seveal meals including the wonderful salmon and the surprising mexican. A versatile little wine, that, if sufficiently chilled at sub-zero temps, can complement any taste or in the case of the mexican, calm the waters of potential jalapeno discontent. Multi-purpose: light beverage or fire extinguisher, your choice.

2004 Francis Coppola Black Label Claret

At the Bonefish in Gville. A smacking good red even with the delicious seafood dinners, after the vacation barbecue ribs, and on the anniversaries day--lots of plurals. The waiter offered to bring in the furniture dolly at the end of the meal to ensure we made it back to the cars. The wine helped us to say "no thanks Manuel, we'll just roll ourselves out on our own!"

2005 "Goats du Roam" (SW Aus)

Gville. As Ginnie unscrewed the attractive metal cap and the aroma hit the post-Fan & Fireworks crowd a sense of expectation pervaded. "I'm not sure which end of the goat this came from". "It's just a little bit tart". "I'm sorry, I can't hear you because my lips are covering my ears". Maybe we should have gone for the Black Forest cake after all.

2004 Westbend Chyambourcin (Dessert)

It happened on an NC back deck. After the brats and corn on the cob. "Its very sweet" said The J. "Blueberries and spice" said the Doc. "I thought I wasn't going to like it but its OK" said The J. "Honey, what do you think?", "Of your music selection? Not much". "Its sort of like Gilligan's Island" The Doc. "It's really a bone of contention". "Actually this wine isn't bad, its drinkable" "When you think about it you can actually taste the blueberries." Best when listening to Bic Runga.

2001 Westbend Cabernet Sauvignon Yadkin Valley

On the deck at 1811. This was a lively wine that matched up well with the brats and barbecue cole slaw. After all we were on-site in the actual NC. The Doc and Jinny back from Irelandia showed froth with the Westbend offerring. Mac was a bit skittish, but the Westbend rose right up!
