Catawba Merlot
Peter and Char's New Year's Eve Bash. Some great red wine: NEX for $3.99 a bottle
A collection of dated opinions on wine enjoyed by the Mike, his family, and their trusted friends. This log occupies the other end of the critical spectrum from the lists maintained by connoisseurs, experts, and aficionados but is rather more like a ship's log, documenting a journey through a veritable "sea of wine" noting events which happen both underway and in port. In vino veritas. MLR April 2003
Bob and Ginny's post-Christmas Dinner. Great food and terrific wine. A real crowd pleaser when coupled with twice baked ziti.
At Randy and Beth's in Hudson. A comfortable wine of unnamable vintage. The multi-course dinner was fabulous.
Christmas Eve Dinner. Bri: "Is there a God?"; Randy: "Its a kickass wine";
New Port Richey. Imported from and aged in the Gran's frig for months and possibly years. Excellent spaghetti supper fouled by this sickly sweet witches brew. (Probably not Verdange's fault). The Christmas suffering begins.
A nice light red wine upon arrival in Gville coupled with some excellent Irish Dubliner cheese and good conversation. Princess and her new found parrot friend. David E. hand injury as a result of a friend B.U.I. (Bowling Under the Influence)
